The Problem
The fire water line had been suffering from severe external corrosion resulting in a large leaking defect at the 12 o clock position. Due to the high pressure, the clamp that was fitted by site personnel was unsuccessful.
The customer required a fast response and a long term solution to this safety critical equipment.
The Solution
Metalyte Pipeworks first applied their bespoke composite leak sealing system.
Once the leak was sealed, the technicians then prepped the full repair area and then applied the engineered composite system which will halt any further corrosion and keep the system in service.
