The line had suffered from two cracks next to the welds on the 6″ Tee
The Problem
The line had two crack defects on two of the welds on a stainless steel tee piece.
The line being out of service had an environmental impact so the client required a fast response but also an engineered solution.
The Solution
Metalyte Pipeworks used a combination of hand tools to prepare the pipe surface.
The line was then chemical cleaned before applying the bespoke composite system to the full repair area, encapsulating the tee and part of the elbow.
